Cool I really like skunks! We have one that lives under our home sometimes (a wild one) and I have been known to give it snacks. It comes up onto the balcony at night looking for garbage so I give it food if/when I see it .

Disclaimer: it is illegal in some locales to feed wild animals, and not recommended for safety reasons.

I was thinking of having a pig as a pet, then it could come in handy when we run low on food. It can find truffles and if it can't then we grill it, muhahahhah !

You could eat any pet if you were desperate enough.
Or your pets could eat you if they were desperate.

Do you actually mean "Skink" or was that a typo? I've never seen a wild skink, but then, there isn't much really cooooool wildlife where I live, as it's too cold, too often.

Yup ... not a typo. We don't have skunks in NZ ;}

My flat is against a hill side, with lots of native bush
around; heaps of birds, insects, skinks and critters of
all sorts despite the abundance of cats in the vicinity.

Last time he stayed with me for a day and half; then I got
concerned about him not getting enough food in the flat, so
I put him outside again (hope the cats won't get him!!).

Got a photo of him, too. ;}

Cheers,
Tink

Couple of dogs, both rescues, we used to have a cat (another charity case) but he died last year, very sad He was quite adept at helping out at the computer as well, not to mention proving the adage that no outfit is complete without cat hair.

No skinks or skunks. Squirrels who are quite shy and a fox who eats scraps. She's been seen with two cubs. They love chewing washing-line.
