I drink any beer if it's their I will be their drinking it.
:) |
Only thing I really drink is water and non-sweetened tea. Every once in a while I'll drink a mountain dew. Once every month or 2 maybe.

real ale only!

My favorites are darks, followed by ambers, and also cider.
Of course, when I can get it, homemade cream ale is probably my most favorite. But it's tough to find people making, and I don't have the space to do so. |
A friend once told me that "...any beer is good beer, but the best beer is the one that's in your hand."

Beer is part of our culture (and history) in Belgium.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belgian_beer Because of the many local flavors, we don't really see much non-belgian beer (Guinness being an exception). I mostly like Duvel, La Chouffe and plain Jupiler. |
Green bottles forever. That's what may give Heineken & Rolling Rock their distinctive flavor(s). That bitterness that some of us love is being called "skunk" by a current ad campaign extolling brown bottles.
& BTW, the correct form is "Negra Modelo®", so says Google & my memory. |
An interesting factoid- a huge historical reason for beer is that it was the only way many people could get "clean" hydration.
With safe water supplies shrinking, and the cost of bottled water approaching that of Beer (note the capitalization ;)), we may be drinking more Beer in the future. “Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.”- Ben Franklin. |
My mother claim[s|ed] that the 1st (was it 2nd) structure that the Pilgrims built in Plymouth was a brewery, for just that reason -- safe water.
Of course, she never was one to ruin a good story w/ the truth. ;) |
If I'm going on beer it'll be Guinness.
