itsjustme 09-26-2004 09:54 PM

Coconut Cream pie is the best.

It's a fact and cannot be disputed.

All other entries are wrong.

mdg 09-27-2004 12:32 AM

Nothing like chicken and mushroom pie, with a light flaky golden-brown crust, served steaming hot.
Mmmm, that's good

IBall 09-27-2004 03:27 AM

Gotta be beef with tomato sauce on top

sh1ft 09-27-2004 12:36 PM

Banana cream dope! I also don't see pizza pie on there, and you call this a linux forum?

And there is no such thing as chocolate pie, it is by definition cake.

RazorKnight 09-27-2004 08:54 PM

I like shepherd pie... which I didn't see listed. I like meat pies, but I also *love* apple pie.

Am I the only American who has a taste for beef in my pie? then again, I did spend 4 years growing up near cambridge, GB...

acid_kewpie 09-28-2004 04:50 PM

Having to compare sweet and savoury pies is just sooooooooo not one. Bearing in mind that *I DO NOT MEAN THIS* someone should start a thread for savoury pies to run seperately!

Generally i'd say people shouldn't have favourite pies... they're generally all so good that your favourite should be the last one you had. Currently that makes for a sweet favourite of red berrys and a savoury one of steak and mushroom.

but the... there's light and heavy sweet pies... do i have to somehow compare the winter warmers like apple and blackberry crumble covered in custard (Americans have custard don't they?) with the superbly light and summery delights of lemon meringue pie or a summer pudding? or is summer pudding not a pie...

superbondbond 09-28-2004 05:00 PM

all these posts and no mention of peach.

Mmmmm.... Peach.........

DrNeil 09-28-2004 07:11 PM

i wish to withdraw my last entry and agree with yakko ;)

Glas 09-28-2004 11:30 PM

Come on no Peanut Butter Pie or Key Lime Pie!? Sheesh what is the world coming to. As an American I can say I enjoy a good meat pie as long as the crust is flakey and the ingredients are prepared correctly. I have had some straight up nasty meat pies that I wouldn't even feed a pig.

Next time you travel on a train in the UK just order a sandwich, it's much safer ;)
