What is a PCI Expansion port 3 connector?

I am browsing notebooks thinking of getting a new one early next year, and I really like the HP notebooks. One of the built-in "Features" is PCI Expansion, stating that the laptopn top has 1 expansion port 3 connector. I knew that these laptopn were based on PCI-Express, and when I entered the phrase in dogpile, I get all these links to PCI-Express but not deal on what exactly it is. I also searched for PCI cards for notebooks, and PCI cards for prt 3 connectors, all sorts of things but I can't seem to find out what this is or even if there are any expansion cards made to go into it. I have asneaking suspicion that there are graphics cards for this slot, but that is based solely on knowing that their laptops come with integrated 6150 go graphics or on certain models a 64mB dedicated 7200 go graphics, or on their real high end the option for a 256mb 7600 go graphics. now just hypothetically here, it would seem to me counterprodictive to create two seperate motherboards in the same model series with two different itegrated graphics, when you coul dplug in a card an disable the integrated.

Anyways after that long dissertation does anyone know or have an idea where I can find out?

Thanks a million

Alex

Seems like it's the connector for the docking bay and if you got that as an optional accessory, you could install 1 or more pci cards inside it!

that is an HP review I googled and it says this:

"Cons:
- Touch sensitive volume buttons sometimes don't register
- Expansion Port 3 connector for the QuickDock breakout box is very hard to connect to laptop (difficult to lineup)"

Thank you for finding that, you know my brother got an HP and I now remember the little port that said port 3 on the side, I can't believe I didn't recall that. Thanks.
