Question what is a boot device and where can i get one?


i found a windows nt and ive fixed it to work, but it says "no boot device availible" where can i get one?

How do you see that message? Something must at least safe mode booted to get to any message display. Depending on the box all you need is a boot disk, floppy or CD

i think it means that the BIOS cant find a bootable device (cdrom, floppy, harddrive, etc) you should check the BIOS config to make sure its booting from the HD

Reboot the computer and a little message should tell you what key to press to get into the bios: often it's the "Delete" key.
