As I said in Bye thread by H_TeXMeX_H, who said he's leaving LQ, I'm listening to Nothing Else Matters, by my favorite band, Metallica; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tj75Arhq5ho

It just happens this to be reply #1000 since my first post here. This thread has come very far.

Thanks to all who posted a lot of good music among many other good things here over the years.

I've added a poll. :D

Listening to; Joe Satriani - Why.

cascade9 06-04-2012 03:32 AM

WTF on the poll. How can you limit music with just 6 selections..and not even a 'all of the above' option. :)

ZZ Top- Gun Love

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAyI1fCqyvI

I have no idea why I like ZZ Top, they are a long way from the majority of music I listen to. Cheers to the bearded ones (and the beardless Frank Beard) for the music.

Pity the 'Download the Eden Log OST' link appears broken. I'll try again later.

BTW, 'Eden Log' is an interesting movie. Sometihing a bit different from the spoon fed, big budget junk Hollywood churns out.....

Met the ghost of Stephen Foster at the Hotel Paradise
This is what I told him as I gazed into his eyes:
Rooms were made for carpets,
Towers made for spires,
Ships were made for cannonade to fire off from inside them

Gwine to run all night
Gwine to run all day
Camptown ladies never sang all the doo dah day no, no, no

Met the ghost of Stephen Foster at the Hotel Paradise
This is what I told him as I gazed into his eyes:
Ships were made for sinking,
Whiskey made for drinking,
If we were made of cellophane, we'd all get stinking drunk much faster ha, ha, ha

Gwine to run all night
Gwine to run all day
Camptown ladies never sang all the doo dah day no, no, no

Don't know much about him, except that his bass playing is awesome, so I guess that he must be a BAMF, indeed ;)

Another great song by him: Hendershot.

His stuff with Primus isn't my favorite. The Holy Mackrel and The Flying Frog Brigade and Oysterhead are my favorite acts he plays with.

He is without a doubt the greatest bass player of all time. Hands down.... One more for good meausre. lol

I thought it was funny that he tried out for Metallica and they said he was "too good" to join the band! LMAO

PrinceCruise 06-30-2012 10:04 AM

Enrique - Not in love.
Hope my gf is not reading this.

Haha. Nice :)

I like Gravenhurst. I was more in the mood for slow music and poetic lyrics lately.
But I also like Tiesto :)

One of my Ministry favourites:

Al Jourgenson is great. He produced The Reverend Horton Heat's Liquor in the Front... album. The Rev is from Dallas so I get to catch him a couple of times a year. :)

*blinks* You've got to be the oldest person I've heard of who likes ministry.

No offence/agism intended. ;)

Black Sabbath- Never Say Die!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xLEF75fvmg

Typical me, my favourite BS song is from what a lot of people think is the worst album they did.....

brianL 07-28-2012 02:25 PM

No offence taken. :) Somebody said, when I was in my 40s, that I had a teenage mind trapped in a middle-aged body.
I like a fairly wide range of stuff: Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Depeche Mode, Steely Dan, Pixies, Bruce Springsteen, Radiohead, Massive Attack, Nine Inch Nails, Rage Against The Machine, Ministry. To name but a few...

Frank Sinatra - That's Life

clifford227 08-20-2012 07:44 AM

I used to date Frank Sinatra's daughter, but I never dared do anything with her because he told me if I wasnt a complete gentleman, he'd have me buried up to the neck in the desert.

Nancy? I would have done the same, knowing the "friends" he had.
