What are aptitude tests?


I am in my last semester of electrical engg.

I had applied for the post of CUSTOMER SUPPORT engineer in IBM Pakistan

(they were requiring elect. engineers with good computer maintenance and troubleshooting skills)

I have got a call form them that I have an aptitude test on Thursday

its a written test I want to know that what is an aptitude test and what sort of questions I should expect ?

and any suggestions for its preparation ?

An aptitude test can be very general or indepth. Normally the ones i have done have been based around Maths, Science, English and Logic. Its to allow the company to access your ability to do the job so there might be some specific questions. Just prep. yourself on the job that your are applying for is my suggestion.
