trickykid 08-30-2001 10:40 AM

ummmmm................

What site are you trying to get into or view?

comp.os.linux.answers doesn't give us a enough info. shouldn't there be a .com, .org, .net... etc on the end of that?

Rex_chaos 08-30-2001 10:46 AM

Weird site

I found that kind of sites full of the net.
comp.os.linux.XXX

will it be the newsgroup?

Rex_chaos 08-30-2001 10:49 AM

Can anyone tell me some newsgroup server of
linux? I want to use the newsgroup reader
(such as OutLook) to read news, but they always
ask me to give a newsgroup server, however,
I don't any one.

If you don't have a news server to use then you can always read them over the internet

http://groups.google.com/

heres a list of some of the Linux groups out there
http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=e...=comp.os.linux

There are some news servers which are free I believe, but I don't know any, sorry :(

Your ISP should provide you with a news server through them, they should provide the info themselves.

If you don't then you can always use the online versions. www.deja.com is always an option.

you're not looking for a website... as everyone has been pointing out, you're looking for a news server. comp.os.linux.answers is one of the main linux news servers. it's referred to as cola for short.
