I cant boot off my floppy drive. I have tried using Partition Commander, LILO boot disk, and Maxtor Hard Disk utility, and all my machine does is look at the flopy, then jumps to the next boot media.
And yes my BIOS is set to go to floppy first, and I have replaced my floppy drive with another, and another cable.
I can also add the both Windows and Linux cannot seem to access any disk in this drive, and the problem just started up a few days ago.
it is not recommend that you kick your machine, it can easily disconnect internal cables, or even result in permanent damage to your Linux(r)(tm)(c)(sic) system. In such a case you might need to buy a new drive if you are confident that cables are correctly connected.
