War on Pornography is not getting to source of problem

All you Males/females who are addicted to porn take note:

After hearing Alan Keyes(Mr. Religious) speak his mind on various topics during the illinois senate race. I started looking in to him more because he actually made some since in the religion & society department. See here .

After surfing around the site I noticed they have an organization "War on Porn". http://waronpornography.com/index.htm

I concluded it was a partial step in the right direction, but didn't get to the real core source of the problem.
I believe it's right for adult material to be not available to children before puberty. But look at this conversation I posted here on why their "war on porn" doesn't get to the source of the problem.

i think the "source" of the notion or words of pornography (as what we understand it in modern times) only occured after or during the invention of under wears and the massive acceptence as a soicial-normality by men and women of all social-class . Before that the notion of pornography(again as what we understand it in modern times)doesn't exist or of a different kind of meaning and it could be a "positive" one.

What's the big deal? As long as everyone involved in the porn was a consenting adult it is all good. No rigths have been violated.

And what is the big deal if a child sees it? (Note: I won't let my kids watch hard core stuff, I'm just asking)

What do you mean by porn? Just hardcore stuff?

I don't care if my kids see nudity--it is just ahuman body, there is nothing to be ashamed of. Human bodies are cool, and some of them are quite beautiful. In fact, I will be very disappointed if they don't see David, Venus de Milo, or even some pictures by Robert Maplethorpe (when they are older)..

So, again I ask, what is the problem with porn?

And don't give me that 'women are treated like sex objects' shait. They are sex objects and so are men. We humans are sexual creatures just like every other animal on the planet.

agree with Optimistic .....

i'm using a knee-length photo of Aria Giovanni as my desktop background although she's a pornstar and of course with her blue color short-skirt-dress on because my sons sometime use "my" linux .....

yes , although she's a pornstar but i really like her face features ,
her "latino" eyes and the contour of her body when she's posing(only when she's alone!! )
but somehow my wife she's not an artist like me and she's the only "War on Porn" reactionary element in the family !
as usual , progressive mind got to come to a concensus with the reactionary in-order to contain them in a kind of a reformation of the family .

and the concensus or solution is before i publicise things beautiful on family public properties , i must scan and filter out things unartistic and harmful to the children . To my surprise my wife really enjoy being the vice-chairwoman of the board of censorship of the family !

note :: this is a low-rate black-comedy , characters and names are not actual persons and are totally imaginary and doesn't exist in reality .

LQ is not the place for this sort of discussion. There are many political discussion sites where this discussion can continue.
