VMWare 1.0.4 On Windows Host - Problems Installing Linux Guests?

I installed VMWare Server 1.0.4 on a new PC at work, and proceeded to install Linux as a guest. I tried Fedora 7, CentOS 5, Ubuntu. Each installation failed. I removed VMWare 1.0.4 and installed 1.0.3, and was able to successfully install Fedora.

Has anyone else had problems with 1.0.4?

Nope. Anything in particular you are setting up or configuring for the virtual machine? Try SCSI and or IDE drives? That sometimes can cause issues. What errors do you get when you install?

I did try changing the drive type, but that was unsuccessful. Other than that, I left the VM settings pretty much unchanged. Installation itself seems to go ok. But when I try to boot the new installation, I get nothing but black screen. Works fine in 1.0.3, but not 1.0.4.
