Virtualbox machines d/l

Title says it all:

Does anybody know if there is a place to d/l or u/l virtualbox images like they got for vmware?

You can use VMWare images in VirtualBox.

I don't think you can directly use a VMWare image under VirtualBox although converter scripts do exist.

You can find ready to use VirtualBox images here:

in theory, yes. but many OS are installed tied to a specific bios or hardware. This makes them crash in virtualbox. as an example - plan9 virtual appliance or DesktopBSD were crashing with some nasty words about BIOS. so did a vectorlinux VM.
