i live in england, and im kind of down on my luck, so i need to claim a benefit we have here for unemployed people looking for work, so that we have some income. so i made an appointment to go and see someone at the local 'jobcenter'.
i sat down with this rather pretty young women, who was probably 30 years old, around the same age as me. and i kept looking at her, partly because she was kind of pretty, but partly for some other reason i wasnt aware of (then). and i was thinking about this girl all day, and the way she was looking at me, in a sort of non-normal way, did she like me? was she interested in me in some way? i didnt know, untill about 30 minutes ago.
ive had a few beers tonight because its saturday night and i thought what the hell. so then i start thinking about this girl again and suddenly i remember where ive seen her before.
about 2 years ago on a saturday night, i was at a friends house in a neibouring town, and id had a few too many beers and decided to go home, via a short walk to the taxi rank in town. while i was walking past the park, i noticed 3 people, 2 men and 1 girl, on the other side of the road, walking in the same direction as me.
i wasnt really concerned about anything, and started to cross the road to continue on to the taxi rank in town. suddenly one of these men punched me in the face and i must have gone down and out for a few seconds, and what i remember is seeing these 3 people and thinking 'i better get the hell out of here because ive had too much to drink, and i cant defend myself', so i ran off around the front of the buildings. fortunatley for me, there were 2 police officers there, and i was explaining to them what had just happened, when the 3 people (the 2 guys and the girl) came walking hurridly past in an excited state, like they were looking for someone. i told the police but they didnt stop them. that girl was the girl i was speaking to today at the jobcenter. and she knows and remembers it, i can tell. and although she didnt punch me, one of the guys did, the way ALL 3 of them came around the corner looking for me like i was easy prey disgusts me. and im just wondering what to do next.
ive got another appointment at the job center on monday, and im seriously considering going to the police and having this scumbag woman arrested on suspicion of assault, if only to f*ck her day up. im also considering just going into the jobcenter with an A4 piece of paper saying what ive put in this thread, and letting her collegues read it. ofcourse id like to issue my own brand of justice on this 'animal', but i dont want to get in trouble, so thats out.
any suggestions/advice from the more mature members of LQ's?

You might have insulted someone after a few drinks a few years ago, or maybe they thought you were someone else, and I don't think she really remembers each drunkard she ever met.
All your evidence is your memory with a touch of alcohol from an event two years ago? What kind of an investigation will that be?
If you're unemployed, then focus on getting a new job.
If she's really that pretty, then find another way to get her attention.
If you feel you're in danger, go and take lessons at your local karate school.
If you feel lonely and bored, install Linux and support the world with open source developments.
Funny, how you ask for more "mature" (quote:any suggestions/advice from the more mature members of LQ's?) replies at LQ.org and your first reply is calling somebody giving you advice an idiot. That and the fact that your title sucks too ("very interesting...").
I doubt anyone will want to help you next and be called an idiot by somebody who could possibly be posting here drunk... tsss...
I liked this story; looked like it was heading one way and then got turned right upside down.
Beginning:
Quote:

Heating up:
Quote:

Flashback:
Quote:

Plot twist!

Sorry I have to be the insensitive bastard today (I suppose I'm not a "mature" member). I hope you get it worked out.
I prefer the presidential candidate thread. Much more interesting than this. Too bad it got closed. This is more of a tit-for-tat event that happened long ago, and doing anything about it now, seems kinda, I don't know, late to me.
Do you know, I missed that whole "2 years ago" thing. Before closing, to sum up, if you care that badly you should contact the police. Anything else you do will end up with you being arrested. Advice given, job done, thread closed.
