Thumbs down Varning! Wanadoo

Hi,

I got my friend a computer and linux mandrake 9.2 for 400 euros (I had an old screen). Since she now to computers I want to help her. Now to the point she got a adsl modem package from wanadoo for 60 euros that included the modem and three months free surfing and after that 32.9 euros plus tax a month flat rate. This is in Spain by the way. She called wanadoo for the setup info and they got info like bank account etc and then they sent an letter with setup info. But now they want 600 euros in deposit that is supposed to be returned after a year. Whats the problem turning of the service? And why was she not informed before? This really sucks!

I told here to return the modem and then we will send this info to all computer magazines.

Why could they not take one year in advance 32.9 times 9 and and tax about 350 euros.

So If you are getting a connection with wanadoo be careful and if you got the stock SELL.

This really is nothing to do with LQ. Especially your final line. If you or your friend has a problem with Wannadoo's service, you should take it up first with their complaints division, then with your trading standards office.

I am closing this thread at this time. If you need to discuss this, please email myself or another mod or the admin of this site.
