Damn.. what's the deal with "is such and such down??"... type threads? This has got to be the 4th or 5th one in several days.. did LQ.org become the Internet Monitor... ??

I think it's because LQ is such a popular place and you get quick replies to your threads.

That doesn't mean a particular member is going to know why it down and so on... unless they are part of that site, own that site, etc. My argument is this, sites go down, its just going to happen. I don't see the need to create such threads in which probably half the time the site is back up before they even get response, etc.
Just my opinion and I only see these types of threads as a waste...
