Underage drinking under supervisor of mom

I'm writing this text ca. 15 minutes after fight with my mom.

She told me stone hard that I shouldn't drive my moped if I've drunk something, because I risk myself. Why the fuck not?
If I tell that "Mom, I'm going to borrow your bike", she asks me "Why?", I tell her "I'm going to get some beer tonight, and thouht that driving with moped could give me danger", then she tells me "No, I'm not going to borrow my bike so you could drink."

This creates paradox: IF I cant borrow her bike in case I drink something, THEN I need to use my moped to get over there and drink and hit some chicks (trying to get laid, ya know. :p ).
THEN I don't drink even enough to mess seriously around, and I can even walk straight and drive like ordinary people.
But my mom still claims I was too drunk to drive moped, I could have killed myself or something.
Still, I'm writing here purest english (not my native language) I can, and I can still try to make Slack work without too much effort.

And she tells me I'm nuts to drive so drunk.
Tell me people, Does this make any sense???

PS. I got one good looking girls number, I was in bar twice, both times thrown out, I was on half an hour car journey and played acoustic guitar. And all that in "drunk"...

i really think this is not a suitable post for this site.... but i won't close it, cos it'll probably only make things worse for me...! :s

why not just....

NOT DRINK!?!?!?!?!?

Gods! does i have to answer all of life's little problems? ;)

You should listen to your mom, you'll be thankful in the long run. And yes, drinking and operating any type of vehicle is stupid. Be responsible, not just for yourself, but for others you can endanger. If you want to take risks, but when you drink and drive or something along the lines like that where you can hurt other people, then that is wrong and you should be responsible, cause maybe others don't want to get hurt or die even..

And we really don't need to know about you and your sex life here either, about getting laid or whatever, I find that inappropiate for this site.

Um, I understand that English isn't your "native" language so my perception may be wrong, but it was very hard for me to understand that. It seemed very incoherant, like it was written by someone who would have problems forming a thought, not by someone who has a hard time speaking/writing in English. And I would think that (from your other posts) that this is because of something impairing your judgement (another clue to this would be the creation of this thread altogether), some mind altering substance. So maybe your ability to drive may be affected as well, but again, this is just from my perception of this.

Just my thought...

Gosh! Hard to believe I'm coming here to write such nonsense... :p

No, actually it's not. I normally talk, write & eat very much, but still.

OK mods, do your work, kill this post.

Hmm, seems like I got 3 new numbers last night.... intresting. :D

Did you enjoy your Slack yet?

Because you're not just risking yourself, you're risking the lives of other road users too.

Do other people deserve to be injured or killed because /you/ incorrectly think you are able to control a motor vehicle whilst drunk?

Hmm... at this point of conversation it would be good for you to realize that I wasn't thinking I could handle my vechile (wich weights only 60kg and goes only 75km/h, btw), I knew it.
Proof is writing here. No damage to other people, no cops chasing me, no damage to me or my vechile.

I've done that 3 times or so before. Only at the first time I neary dated with truck. Oooops...

Hi
I think it's more a matter of luck, not bumping into someone
this far. The speed and weight of your moped plus your own
weight of course, will certainly do for serious injury.
In fact even doing 30 km/h on a bike whilst kissing the asfalt
will do for a head damage or worse.
And i think in general just drinking to get drunk is not cool.

Uhm what's that anti Slackware thingy in your sig; have
you been drinking whilst browsing ? ;)

good luck and stay sober

Not so much traffic around here... Only one traffic lights and it's easy to get around them, just drive on sidewalk! :p

Get the picture Eits0,

If you drink and drive, you're a bloody idiot!!

(Tv Add in Australia)

Seriously though, in australia they have legal limits for drinking. It basically works out that a male can two drinks in the first hour, and one every hour after that (standard drinks - a nip etc.)
Women can only have one in the first hour and then one every other hour.

But think about it, you have survived so far. no accidents or getting anyone hurt, but how would you feel if you did hurt someone while you were drunk, think about the fall out that would occur - Jail, fines, Guilt for the rest of your life.

Just figure it out buddy.

Sorry here comes my American ignorance sort of...

So 75kph is ~ to 46.6 mph and 60kg is ~ 132.2 lbs.

That is relatively fast, and heavy.

Anyway, lets say you were only traveling at ~ 20mph, not a fast speed I must say. This only shows the damage you could do to yourself, it would be mulitplied if you hit a vehicle traveling the same speed and the same weight (your twin).

So, you have 132 lbs and 20mph.

The total momentum delivered (again at just 20mph) is:
2640lbs of force, and that's not even counting your weight, just the bikes'!

(reference:http://buckleup.ifas.ufl.edu/Drivers2.htm)

So saying "it only weighs <blank> and I was only going <blank>" isn't a good argument.

Eits0 08-26-2002 12:30 PM

I know 2 friends of mine who "ajoi pellolle", meaning they both drived into forest at relatively high speed. Both survived.

Other was driving only 60km/h, but curve went long and he broke hes knee.

Other was driving at 80km/h at night without lights. He didn't even see when the curve came. He's moped crashed totally, but he jumped off and didn't get a single scratch.

Then one of my friend was driving at 10 km/h, just moving from behind Stop sign on the bigger road. She died in car accident.

Does that make sense? No.

MasterC 08-26-2002 12:49 PM

Of course not, and that would appear to be a lot of what people are trying to tell you. Driving anything is dangerous. Driving something on 2 wheels is more dangerous. Driving something on 2 wheels without a helmet is more dangerous. Driving something on 2 wheels, without a helmet, drunk, at night, is not a good idea.

There can be many examples, but the one you don't want to be is the statistic.
