Trying to decide on a LCD monitor - 20", 20" wide, or 22" wide?

Any pros/cons of 20", 20" wide, or 22" wide? Dell UltraSharp.

I already have a 19" UltraSharp and it's really good but I wonder if a bigger size is better still.

*drools*

I can't think of any cons - other than electricity used and that at 30"+ - a pointy stick would probably be more appropriate than a mouse, and as soon as you have to walk from gimp to skype, I think you're overdoing it.

Dell or Samsung?

22" wide

Big screens have a few disadvantages:

1. Readability reduces at too high resolutions unless you use a much lower DPI.
2. The video memory used at higher resolutions is higher so games can slow down awfully unless your video card is really bleeding edge.
3. They take up too much space.
4. They tend to consume more power.
5. Using slightly lower resolutions can make the display terribly blurred.

Sorry for the unsolicited advise, but I think any more than 17" is overkill for normal application users and even programmers.

If you're a CAD specialist or a designer who needs oodles of desktop space, then it's probably fine.

I am leaning towards 20" wide...
