The security on my router (DL-524) stopped working...

Figures, I get WiFi working in Linux and my router starts to go funny lol.

Anyway

I turned off the wireless security (WPA-PSK) to test connections under Linux, but when I tried to turn it back on an hour later, it won't let me. I don't get an error or anything, the button simply doesn't work so long as the security drop down box is set to anything except 'disabled'. Any ideas? Thanks!

In my experience, routers are the most sensitve equipment I own to electrical problems. I've got mine on a UPS because of small power outages and surges that caused it to behave wonky. Nothing else in my house cared, but the router did.

If rebooting the router doesn't work, you may have to either load new firmware or reload the factory defaults.

Sigh, Didn't work, tried rebooting and restoring factory defaults, just didn't get anywhere. Might try taking it to get it repaired, or do you think it's just dead?

I assume you tried to configure through a web-based interface? Did you try a variety of browsers? Is there some other way to configure (tftp, snmp, others)? Maybe try these things before getting it repaired.

I tried under both Internet Explorer and Firefox, in both Windows and Linux. Yes, it's a web interface at 192.168.0.1. You hover over the 'apply' button and you can see it says something like "javascript('update_settings')" or something like that, but the button has no effect, I've even tried firing the event from another page, nothing happens.

I'm not sure what tftp of snmp are, could you explain how I would use them? Thanks.

that happened to me too, nothing on firefox would work and IE's settings were too high so i turned em down and it fixed it.
