I never meant to insult anyone. It's just hard to not take it personal when they tell you you are just not bright enough to understand it. I could have worded that better. By "purposely ignorant" I mean that they should really see the flaw in the argumentation that a nonbeliever has to disprove anything. I don't ask you to disprove the Pastafarians noodly deity to validate your believes. You put your own believe above suspicion, but I'm sure you see the flaw in others.

I think you opened that door yourself when you say you like to leave the discussion at a low intellect due to your own laziness. No thread or discussion should ever be taken on a personal level. That's your choice. It's also your choice to just walk away and stop replying as well. This again is the reason we don't usually allow religious threads, people take it too personal. They also take it very personal when people don't believe what they believe. Then this crap happens, people say things they don't mean, then threads get closed.

So we should just leave it at that. Either this thread needs to be closed or you and Tinkster need to walk away quietly.

I really don't think we/I have crossed a line here. Most of the dispute was about what Jesus thinks about churches...

Where it seemed to play a big part which bible you have at hand... So people - in the future: Always link to the biblegateway for reference

Doesn't matter, you guys are getting too personal in your replies. So lets just move on now. Like a chicken with no head running in circles, trying to prove each other wrong, wasting valuable time. You know there are many people who need help with Linux on this site, we should go help those people instead of what Jesus thought about churches, cause only he could answer that and last time I checked, he's dead.

And I am the one stepping over the line?

You are now by disrespecting my wishes as a moderator I made earlier. Each reply just makes this thread closer to getting closed.

Problem is, I don't really care. I got my results:

Atheism won by 44.6%
Second are the various world religions - mostly Christians with 30.8%
A respectable third are the Agnostics with 21.5%
And Deism and Theism share the 4th place with 1.5% each. - Better luck next year!

Also, that were like 20 posts wasted on non-counting off-topic posts. I could have boosted my postcount in the Newbie forum for at least half of that by now.

Wait, you don't care but you got your results? Now that doesn't make sense. If you really didn't care, you wouldn't care about the results.

There's no winning or losing to this poll. It's just a number, nothing more, nothing less of a count of who believes in what and quite frankly, a very low count tally compared to the amount of members who visit this forum daily. The results prove squat shit in my opinion. Should we leave it at that then? I hope so.

According to a recent poll 99% of all polls are meaningless.

Ahhhh!

I have just concluded a worship service, dressed in my pirate garb and speaking in pirate talk (required of all good Pastafarians). I also took Communion, involving some very fine and nicely cooked linguini, with a nice, slightly tart, slightly salty tomato sauce, and some outstanding meatballs, all topped with shredded mozarella cheese.

Now, basking in the warm and spicy glow of Our Noodly Master, and belching slightly in appreciation of His meatballs, I again enjoin you to cease your quarrel and recognize that religious debates are among the most fruitless (although, in truth, a tomato IS a fruit, so I guess you could say that practicing pastafarianism is not fruitless...)

Raaaaa-men!

Not by, at ... you're not getting simple maths, either. It won
by 14% ... if that's a win, that is. Probably just means
that most believers didn't take your troll-bait ;}

Cheers,
Tink

Actually it won by 13.8%. With probably a margin or +-3% standard average in almost all polls conducted.
