Evolution only occurs in discrete steps at the quantum level of phenotypical discription... the Genetic level...

If you could observe at this scale... you would actually see a nucleotyde change into another one at the phase of DNA replication or RNA transcription... it is called Mutation ( can be induced by lots of stuff, radiations, chemicals, randomness, error etc ) Sometimes it is lethal, sometimes it is not, on the contrary, it is quite viable and superior...

but a multicellular organism is a very complex and organized issue... the path of evolution is the sum of the most favourable of these discrete leaps, and its contribution along thousands of years yeld progressively different species... ( Fish actually morph into mammals, but it takes quite a while... )

I use a similar approach to design Structures of aircraft... selective pressure of constraints and loads, force random perturbations in the design specs to be the fittest according to a peculiar index of merit ( structural intagrity, strenght, etc )

The number of additions and removals to so-called contemporary documents to shoehorn in Jesus is frightening. What's worse is that it was done really badly. Just compare and contrast the Gospels - they cannot keep the personality or the story of Jesus straight.

Clearly it would take a few years. According to my posts, since 01-01-2009, I've made 117 posts in the past year and a half and hardly anyone (that I have seen yet) has reached the 20k mark, sadly, almost half of those 117 posts were in the past two days.

I need to stop hanging out in General - it's affecting my post count. Or I need someone to make 1,852 problem threads in my forums so I can close them and up my post count.

Eh...they are like management types: delegate all the dirty work. I guess that's why we only see the followers of the religions commit the atrocities, not the gods themselves.
