I'm sick of seeing all this junk about that wretched Kardashian woman and her obnoxious family and all the other 'celebrity' orientated garbage that wasters who read the National Enquirer and such like enjoy. Don't want any of that every time I want to check for e-mail. Don't want any adverts. Don't want any movies. Don't want any pictures at all, actually. Just tech info on any subject and informed discussion like it used to be back in the day. Oh - and don't mind paying for it. If the price of having a 'free internet' involves plastering it with mind-rotting trash about the NFL, Justin Bieber and Hollywood gossip then I want out of it. I want my monthly sub to go to a small, independent community of tech people providing a valuable, worthwhile and crap-free service. If, on the other hand, I really want to destroy my mind with 'junk food for the soul' I can simply turn on my TV or read any newspaper. What's happening to the concept of choice??
It sounds to me that you need a text mode browser such as elinks....that way you don't see any music, any videos etc.

elinks is not an OS, it's a web browser.

Sorry, typo, I was multi-tasking at the time so that is probably why I put that there.....I know, I know, multi-tasking always leads to this kind of thing, but, I'm incorrigible!

I use NoScript and Adblock Plus. This removes a LOT of the "commercials" from the browsing experience.

ukiuki,

As I mentioned above the propaganda in the different forms is ubiquitous. No-one who lives in a society can avoid it. Even if that “society” consists of three people living on a desert.

A man has a mind and decides himself/herself what he/she does with his/her mind. You said: “bad things [...] harm peoples minds”. Someone who allows the propaganda to brainwash his/her mind reconciles that those “bad things” harm his/her mind. Someone who struggles all the time with all the forms of the propaganda coming to him/her blocks those “bad things” and develops his/her mind at the same time.

The sad part of that is that most of the people allow propaganda to brainwash their minds. Moreover most of them are very happy with that. They like to read/watch/listen the shit. They love to talk and write the shit. They feel stronger when they think that they’re part of the huge masses. And they’re part of the huge masses indeed.

I – on the contrary – feel stronger when I think that I’m unique. I do a lot all the time to become more and more unique. I’m conscious that with all my thinking and all my tastes I’m a per mill of a per mill. Lonely human mind in the huge Universe. And I feel happy with that.

It isn’t easy for the ordinary people to overturn their outlook upside down. It isn’t comfortable. It isn’t secure. People prefer easy, comfortable, and secure thinking. You can’t change that. Me neither. No-one can.

In “Stand by Me” by Rob Reiner based on a novel by Stephen King “four young friends set out on an adventure”. From time to time some of them tries to frighten the other one. When he succeeds he punches the opponent’s arm two times and says: “You flinched! Two for flinching”.

You flinch all the time from this or that. Each time you flinch I punch you twice: “Two for flinching”. You must be all blue now.

All your flinching, moaning, and complaining is very tiresome. Could you stop that flow a bit?

to some other people here,

I see your flinching, moaning, and complaining as well. Each time you flinch, moan, or complain I punch you twice: “Two for flinching”. Could you stop that flow a bit?

rokytnji,

1. Is the Israeli Acute Paralysis Virus (IAPV) a virus that attacks Israelis only?

2. To learn about two little known facts concerning Jay-Z and Beyoncé art just read the secret files which I hacked straight from my mind:

Code:
Jay-Z → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → shit
Code:
Beyoncé → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → crap

to the moderator which thanked me,

Thank you for the understanding of my general attitude.

Maybe they’re Satanists or maybe they aren’t. I don’t know that so don’t ask me.

Satanism is even more stupid than the regular religion. It parodies the religion (the cross upside down, the mass backwards, etc.). So it’s a parasite that can’t exist independently. Satanism feeds on the religion and on not-too-smart-young-people-which-would-like-to-rebel-against-the-common-principles-but-have-no-idea-how-they-could-do-that. Satanism gives them the simple answer: wear the horrible clothes, listen to the horrible music, and believe in the stupid parody of the religion.

The allegedly independent periodicals are obsessed by Anton LaVey and the similar nuts (for example: Aleister Crowley). These periodicals are independent in fact but it’s the independence from the reason and the sense.

So – taking into consideration how stupid is the art by Jay-Z and Beyoncé – I can assume that they’re stupid indeed and – as a result – they can subscribe the stupidest ideas such as Satanism.

So my final answer to your question is: I don’t know but it’s probable.

So what?

Once again you are avoiding the real issue - this is not about "anti-semitism vs anti-zionism" - your linked article (first link in your first post in this thread) included the following statements:

https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...3/#post4907796

Quote:
The Rothschilds claim that they are Jewish, when in fact they are Khazars.
Quote:
The reason the Rothschilds claim to be Jewish is that the Khazars under the instruction of the King, converted to the Jewish faith in 740 A.D., but of course that did not include converting their Asiatic Mongolian genes to the genes of the Jewish people.
Quote:
You will find that approximately 90% of people in the world today who call themselves Jews are actually Khazars, or as they like to be known, Ashkenazi Jews.
Which is utter bollocks.

(Shrug ...)

I've never quite figured out why a non-descript little country on the eastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea has commanded so much of the world's attention for so long, anyway. Must be that they're really good at banking, or that there's oil nearby which happens to be controlled by people that they're forever pissed-off at. Somehow, they've managed to keep their personal version of "Family Feud" front-and-center on the world's stage for thousands of years. Beats me why that is so.

People have been pondering gods since humanity began, but few countries have been so successful at making a product of their national flavor of it. Being dubbed as politically expedient by the then-Roman Emperor Constantine certainly helped, but Italy has been "nothing more than a peninsula again" for well over a thousand years now. Constantine was certainly correct, but I doubt even he imagined how the power of what he started would so outlast him and outstrip him.

Here, in Poland, the Poles and the Jews lived together for the ages. The Jews started to settle in Poland in XIII age and three hundred years later about 80% of all the Jewish diaspora lived in my country.

The Polish Catholic law prohibited the Jews from cultivate the land. On the other hand the same law forbade the Poles to practice the usury.

As a result the Poles cultivated the land while the Jews practiced the usury.

After some time the Poles noticed that the Jews are the wealthy people so the Poles started to hate the Jews and to attribute to them the worst “innate” traits. (For example: there are still the Poles which believe that the Jews kidnap Christian kids in order to kill them and made the matzah using kids blood.)

So the Christians from Poland created the modern Jews and then started to hate them because they’re modern.

It’s very sad paradox.
