I have to say OpenBox! If flexibility is what you want, then it is awesome!

Not bloated and just has enough to make it comfortable for my use!

My choice: I prefer GNOME, but also prefer the Shell instead of the Panel.

Fluxbox because it is very good on an old system. Still when I get a new system (whenever that may be), I will probably still end up using Fluxbox. I might play around with xfce and KDE, but ultimately stick with Fluxbox.

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...e-year-780638/ - and your poll is multi-choice so all results may be skewed.

and Gnome, KDE and LXDE are DEs, the rest are WMs.

This poll needs a "depends on the situation" option. I for one use KDE, GNOME, and fluxbox daily and each one is exactly what I want on the machine that I use it on.

Fkuxbox, since everything else just seems to add too much complexity. But, having said that I use software from other DE's - Dolphin from kde for network shares, PCManFM or Thunar for opening/mounting flash sticks etc. k3b and kile.

fluxbox + rox, it's fast, has all the needed features, is flexible and extendable.

I use fluxbox. It's small, it's easy, it got what you need. It's nice. It's perfect
If I need to choose some DE, I would choose KDE over Gnome, but on laptops or slow computers I prefer LXDE

It all depends on what machine I have running, what OS, and what I am doing with it.

The Member's Choice forum is hidden. I searched for "desktop environment members choice" to find it.

Exactly why the poll is multiple choice.
