@ MBybee -- until this moment, I haven't been monitoring any traffic at all in logs or otherwise, with regards to this issue. Howver, as I type this, I have wireshark running on my firewall machine, logging HTTP traffic on eth0 to a file, and will do some testing here and there.

Not sure if I'll be able to single out the exact moment where the meta-reload-ish behavior happens, but Imma tryin'

Well, I've had wireshark going all evening. Finally TWICE, it appeared that I was about to catch a dupe in the making, BUT: Here's what happened:

1-- I was waiting for a 'Quick Reply' to post; the spinny thing was spinning...
2-- The page began to reload itself, I thought "OK!! Here goes, I got it!!"
3-- I was given a page I've never seen before under the circumstances, as follows (minus original formatting):

Code:
Redirecting...

Thank you for posting! You will now be taken to your post. If you opted to post a poll, you will now be allowed to do so.

Click here if your browser does not automatically redirect you.
4-- Upon the reload finishing, I was taken to my post. Only one of it. No dupe..

I've even asked toe roommate to 'clog up the network' with some downloading, to no avail as yet.

This is ridiculous.. I killed wireshark about 20 minutes ago, and just now I generated a dupe in LQ member intros

Exclamation captured wireshark traffic of dupes being created!

While I was creating & catching the dupes, I had "LQ Spy" going in one tab, and possibly another LQ page loading in yet another tab, so if anyone notices any 'extra' stuff here that doesn't seem to jive with the dupe situation, that's likely why.
Also, note that I have removed any packets relating to the CDN layer, as well as miscellaneous packets relating to favicons & images, hence the skipped line numbers (skipped packet numbers).

NOTE: I found this easier to analyze without [code] tags.
