Ok what I did was used the add-on for Firefox, User Agent Switcher. Problem with that is it resets and I always forget how to change that.
So what I do is add another agent and it will pick up all the information on its own. Then I copy the information from general.useragent.override (type that into the filter box ontop in about
:config) and then I disable the add on. There is another way of forcing the addon to always use that by default, but I always forget how to do that.
I go to about
:config and...
Right click and add new string
name it:
general.useragent.override
then:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; archlinux; en-US; rv:1.9.2.13) Gecko/20101211 Firefox/3.6.13 (which for me is the information I got from the User Agent Addon before I disabled it.)
Notice where it says archlinux? This of course can be changed to debianlinux, ubuntulinux and so on. I think the default is something linux but you will see where that spot is when you first copy it from the User Agent addon before disabling it.
I hope I explained this correctly and didn't confuse it. I sometimes do that, lol.
