In our media based society we have created a position where they are more watched by more people than at any time in history. So, if they sit by and people die and they do nothing, is the effect less than if they do something? The answer is no. Governments cannot win until they free themselves from the media's influence, act rationally not in a way to garner votes or money and start to listen to their expert advisers.
Unfortunately, over the last what, 50 years? we have developed the government that we, as a worldwide people, seem to have wanted. Well done us.
I think you're seeing it wrong.. It's a GOOD thing FOR .gov to have itself watched "all" the time, because it's not watched "all" the time, but people believe it is.
Furthermore, with interpretations generated by people who have equally as low a skill for interpretation as the next dude on the couch with his coveted bud light, what's seen isn't even remotely close to what's being explained.
It's a smoke and mirrors game, to be early 1900s about it.
The real question is WHY is that their favored modus operandi? What is the truth behind it all?
Well, one thing is clear ... they are blowing this thing more out of proportion then anything I've ever seen within my lifetime. Seriously, they are up to something here. Now, to figure out what ...
This is all leading up to the takeover of the world by Cthulu, with the aid of the Free Masons, Illuminati and the Church of Scientology. I thought you already knew that, it is the only logical conclusion given all the evidence.

I seriously feel like punching them in the face sometimes, it might just stop the tape from playing...
And perhaps land you in the slammer with a big, "friendly", hairy fellow. ^_^

Yeah, but I know kung fu ...
Oh, and don't worry about anything, next thing you know you will be oppressed beyond anything dystopian authors could imagine ... I wonder what you'll do then.
Be good little sheeple and get your poison vaccines, wouldn't want to get the icky flu. Keep giving your kids poisons there aren't enough autistic kids.

I welcome the rule of Cthulu, may it last a million years!!!11!1!!!1111
Yeah, like Hangdog said, in about 8 months we can resurrect this thread and see whether Obama has turned the USA (and the rest of the world) into a military dictatorship.

Is this still doing the rounds? I thought that this had been thoroughly debunked, particularly since the doctor who first claimed this in the Uk has now backtracked and said he was completely wrong about it.
It's ironic that people who don't share your worldview are called sheeple, particularly since you seem to believe everything Glenn Beck, the teabaggers and Faux News says without question.
Funny, you sound like every guy from Texas I've ever met.
Really ? I can't say that that's true. I've met many people there and well, they are usually no less brainwashed than anyone else ...
Although they did tell me of this atheist guy who must have cracked or something. They said he was yelling at people in a conference and asking them how they can believe. Anyway, as you can imagine, they put him down quick. I tried to find out who he was so maybe I could calm him down a bit, but I never found out. That's the only possibly different person I almost met in Texas. I've also lived in many cities in Texas, so you can't say it's just one city.
Reporters saying the world is gunna end?
.gov saying the world may end?
.gov pushing for unprecedented levels of power?
.mil in America?
.edu saying the world may end?
The stock market being full of con men and pyramid builders?
The increase in paramilitary activities conducted by law enforcement throughout the nation?
What do unions have to do with it?
The public in general, being without morals or ethics, lacking in virtue, and knowing nothing of honor or respect?
Nothing personal, it's just that I've met many individuals from TX (and elsewhere) who seem to obsess over the list you posted. That's just an example, actually I was also thinking about my general impression from previous posts as well. So.. you probably have plenty of like minded individuals out there.

I figured as much in that regard, but I was hoping you'd elaborate on the impression you've developed.
