I know there are huge lists like http://wwitv.com for looking up streaming
video channels on the web... but most them end up being some MS-only
streaming crap. Does anybody know of a site that lists streaming video
sites specifically that will work with Linux?
So, a lot of them are .asx, and even though I have my mimetype for video/x-ms-asx set to run mplayer, it does not work. Nothing comes up. How do you get these asx video files to work with Firefox/Linux?
Ha, just figured out how to get almost everything to play. I just installed the "mplayer-plugin" for firefox. Now why didn't I know about this before?!
