How isn't everyone going crazy over this already?
Steam is in open beta! It has a linux tab and a little tux icon for every game that supports linux, which are quite a few already, and they're all on sale! D:
Amnesia*: I really didn't think this would scare me. It scared me!
Serious Sam** - BIG title! A bit old, but still a big title.
Killing Floor - currently christmas themed zombi shooter
All three are under $10 right now.
World of goo is $2.5! - compared to $20 in the Ubuntu store!
Team Fortress (free)- which means the Half Life engine is ported! D8
Which means every single Valve game is coming soon, including Dota2!
Tons of indie games:
Introversion complete pack goes for $5 right now, which is a collection of awesome indie RTS games. If you didn't get a chance to get the humble bundle, you can get all of them off steam right now for less.
So go BUY ALL THE THINGS!
*There's a tiny bug where you have to launch it from the command line or else it crashes, so keep that in mind, but this should be fixed really soon.
**There are some performance issues with the stable version, however there is a beta available that offers some improvements, and it sounds like they are actively working on fixing it. In the steam game library right-click serious sam, go to properties go to the beta tab and opt in to public-beta. The game will update automatically after that.
