Spam


In my yahoo/rediffmail id i used to get number of spams per day,

Is there mechanism/way to catch the person who sends spam.


And is there any mechanism to catch a person who is talking to us through yahoo messenger?

You can't send a person sending spam. In fact, most spam is sent by zombie (infected Windows) machines. Owners usually even don't know. Source addresses are spoofed.

Check if yahoo messanger allows to see the other's person IP. If it does, it's possible to identyfy him/her. But still, it's not always true.

blocking yahoo spam messages

is there any way to get rid of messages by users who are not on my contact list using the yahoo plugin for kopete?

I am trying to edit some privacy settings for my yahoo! in Kopete...
to get rid of some frequently appearing spam messages on the client.
i dont see any block options or whatsoever on the yahoo plugin though, while the msn plugin has these features.
