QUOTE :: " Currently, global space industry has a capacity to launch over 200 tonnes of satellites every year. However, the forecast demand will consume less than half of this established capacity. A bitter price war is on to capture this limited market. New space missions for the benefit of all mankind are yet to be formulated."

although i'm not sure about the inner working of space exploration by mankind , i do hope that it wont degenerated into scrambling of space-way or resources or know-how or whatever , like what had happened in Africa during the earlier stage of their colonial history , hope that there wont be any rental of space-space or tolling system and others , help or assist financially or politically if you can , just let that very few good men and women do their job , i mean those who are way way above those reactionary petty-politicking monopolistic block-head sales-persons and regional "representatives" of all kind ....

i wont be around to witness that ...

Don't be too sure. Since the U.S. is taking a dive in science(u.s citizens can thank fundy's for that one), other countries have started pushing very hard, i.e. China. Once someone like China starts space exploration and finds a means to make it profitable, it will come a lot faster than you would imagine. The U.S. has been a brake on a lot of technologies, and sectors, without it's influence(which it is rapidly losing) the science field will take off. Think of the advances that we HAVEN'T been on the front page for in the last 6-7 years, where we used to be the only one on the page. People have figured out that they can trailblaze also, and they're really getting into it. Russia already does more space flight than we do, and has been for a while now. China is building up their credentials, and Japan is even getting in on it. As soon as a few countries can manage to not kill each other and cooperate, there will be a massive explosion in growth related to space tech.
