Software Hardware Interface Meaning

I am asking this question to know about the firmware Interface with hardware.

1. How the software commands reach at hardware.
2. How the Hardware status get to the software.
3. What are the work of device drivers.
4. What is mean by booting of a peripheral device.

Could anybody give a replay to these questions.

Regards
Dave

Seems an awful lot like verbatim homework questions.

Hi,

Welcome to LQ!

I don't think the questions are verbatim. But a poor masking of homework type questions. If the question(s) are copied then that text should be taken back for a refund. Poorly written.

We will aid you when you help yourself to a solution. Provide us with what you have attempted and then maybe someone will be able to assist. What do you think the answer should be for each question? You did look at the body of your text for the answers? What about <Linux> - Google Search or LQ Search? You can use the advanced search in each with keyword(s) to get some really useful information. Sure a little effort on your part but productive.

'How to Ask Questions the Smart Way' would be one link you should look at to help us to help you in the future. Possibly get some insight to how to properly present a query.

We can and will help you but not do your homework!

Moved to GENERAL as I can't see anything Linux-specific in
the inquiry.

Cheers,
Tink
