How to watch world cup on linux ( tvants , internet tv , free , video, audio, live, transmission , soccer ):
Hello, for those of you who are seeking a way to watch world cup games in Linux, here is how to do it:
a) install latest wine (windows emulator for linux) on you system.
b) download TVAnts (TvantsSetup.exe) ... just google for it and,
c) install it (default is C:\Program Files\tvants\)
d) go to a terminal and type
wine "C:\Program Files\tvants\Tvants.exe"
e) do a search for "sport" and select "soccer addict" or "CCTV5" which one works better for you.
f) open a second terminal and type
totem mms://localhost:16900/1
or
kaffeine mms://localhost:16900/1
g) the last number after the port is the order the chnnel appears on the listing... 1 for the first, 2 for the second etc..
"soccer addict" (Dutch) works fine for me in Portugal and anyone in Europe. CCTV5 is good anyware in the world...but its chinese
Anyway GO PORTUGAL!!!!!
