snap to cursor

I have looked till I am blue in the face and have not found a setting for making the cursor go to the default button when a window or program opens.

Does anyone know where such a setting is?

I am using KDE at the time with the default programs and settings.

Thank you,

Also a setting to cause hibernation when I shut the lid of the laptop. I saw in a log where my system recogognized that there is a laptop lid button, if that is what it sounds like I dont know.

Edit to add:
I know the hibernation works because it works properly by the time settings in power control area. But I want ti to work when I shut the lid.
Thank you,
edit to add update:
I found the hibernate when the lid closes setting but am still looking for a "snap to" type setting
thanks

Njoy,
I have tried several distros since I made this OP but in all of them the setting was in the "power" settings. The applications that monitor the batteries that is.

On one distro, I think it was mandy but I'm not sure, the setting was available throu the "configure desktop" settings.

Good Luck sorry so late reply
