I am trying RHEL 6 for the 30 days free period... and I would like to extend my experience, not of free support in RHEL Network, but by redefining new repos; RHEL6 Server does not contain lots of packages i would like to evaluate, like new OpenOffice, Koffice, etc.
I was thinking about putting in /etc/yum.repos.d folder the specs of Scientific Linux 6 beta repos ( I think SL dudes call this Rolling )
Is this bad thing to do...?
I am running this RHEL 6 in an external USB install, so, no great harm... just would like to know wether it is likely i will b0|2|< my system...
Alexvader - This is too late if you went and did it but the rolling October release of SL6 has enough issues that it will probably truly !#%$ up your RHEL6 system.
As of 03-Dec, a new rolling SL6 alpha version is available - but I would only use it to do a clean install

Thx for yr reply
I did not do that though... but i have downloaded the new Rollig of SL 6... is it usable ( installable ) already...?
I can verify that SL6 rolling is usable as I'm posting from it as we speak.
Though a rolling release, I think it is based on RHEL6 GA (as opposed to RHEL6 Beta)... Its next alpha release is scheduled for 10-DEC.
And for anyone else reading this that wants to try SL6 rolling, have at it. The link is above. Just don't use it as a production workstation or server.

Thx Ehtetur...
I shall presume that repos are already complete... since this ( lack of more actual versions of libraries ) is part of my willing to move form SL 5.5...
