Shiny new backlit keyboard - Suggestions for multimedia key mapping?
 
After mapping keys for my home dir to open in rox and for volume controls, im at a loss and i still have 9 keys left to go. I dont need mappings for vlc so thats out, any suggestions?

Next/prev track and pause (for your favourite music player), open a browser, open mail client? You just need to think of actions that you regularly perform that could use shortcutting...

Volume controls would not be on my list, I rarely adjust the volume.

I would just bind various applications to them. Well, I wouldn't really, it's simple enough as it is to open applications. I think these multimedia keys are highly overrated, I've got plenty and I don't use a single one.

At one point I wanted to bind a slider I have to the mouse scrollwheel, but it doesn't seem to work, because the slider isn't recognized properly.

yeah im at a loss too :) i have a couple of timers bound to F keys and a couple of apps, stumped by the multimedia keys tho. I feel a sort of sense of free floating guilt at letting a feature go unused. There has to be a technical name for it.
