I think part of the issue is the frequency in posts promoting this vs other productive posts. If you're here to participate at LQ and happen to sometimes promote a project, that's fine. If you're here solely to promote that project, that's not what LQ is about.

That may be so but not completely true. Your http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...volves-867528/ was an interesting starting point wrt alternative monetary ecosystems and a topic not mentioned before on LQ AFAIK.
