Red Hat Linux 9.0 vs Red Hat AS 3.0

I am pretty comfortable with the difference between Red Hat Linux 9.0 and Fedora, but where does Red Hat AS 3.0 come in. I have an application that specifically lists Red Hat AS 2.1 or Red Hat AS 3.0 as being compatable. Are they different animals than Linux 9.0 or Fedora? Thanks

If they are not compatable, does anyone know of a hosting company that uses Red Hat AS 3.0 (and comes in around $100).

We had 20 or so AS3 servers at my lost job and I didn't see any major differences between AS3, ES3 or Redhat9. Infact, I think even AS3 says "loading 9.1" during installation. I know that some huge redhat fan out there might say that I am wrong, but I really don't think that there is that much of a difference.

Thank you very much - I can not find a difference either, but the software I am trying to install only says Red Hat AS 2.1 or 3.0. They tell me I can use anything else but I am on my own with support. I will keep looking.
