reasonable priced web hosting

my current hosting package is up for renewal in june so i am on the lookout for a new host since the ones i am with are complete crap.

Preferably i want linux hosting (obviously!!) it only needs to be quite a small amount of space since it is just a personal site ~ 500MB.
PHP, MySQL and email services are necessary.
(would prefer UK based hosting since my current US ones are less than helpful)

Anyone out there got any good hosts? have been looking recently and it seems you get space/email or the full (expensive) stuff and not much inbetween.

Im looking to spend approx 80 UK pounds or less.

Your help is much appreciated.

I don't know if it is US or UK based but the one advertising here at LQ has been really good to me. Look for the red "ipowerweb" banner at the top of your screen and see if they have what you need. Don't forget to click the banner to get to their site, it helps LQ with advertising money.

There's also the forum sponsor www.dinix.com

I've been thinking of using them myself for other purposes since I host myself, but instead as a host provider for the web contracts I get and host, etc.

I do not wish to detract from the site's valued sponsors but I signed up with:

http://host.th.3ix.org/

for 39 baht~1$ per month.

50mb disk space,
1 gig xfer,
and 20 POP mail accounts

plus cPanel and some pretty cool other stuff

(note my web site is just an experiment in progress, and pretty much nobody knows the url)

This is the base package, I was re-directed to Godaddy to register the domain name, but that was only $6.95 per year so I clicked and signed.

HTH,
mark

I use 2globalmart.com who are cheap, based in the US (Which favours UK users at the moment due to currency rates) and support MySQL, PHP etc etc....

I have a unix based package which costs me less than a fiver a month.

They've had some stick in the past for being unrelaiable but recently, they have performed really well.

Give them a look.
