RE: In this open source world, which part are you in??

Sorry, I don't see how this is advertising, and why the original thread is closed. woranl has 91 posts, so probably did not only come here for advertisement. I actually find this is a nice post: he's done something with, and thanks to, Linux and the help he's had. And he's rightfully a little proud of it. In fact, I'd put this in "Success Stories"... Well, I understand we all understand things differently (depending on mother-tongue, culture)

So which part do you work in?
1) program GUI, etc etc ... for linux
2) web developing w/ open source tech.
3) nothing, just use Linux to be cool
4) 100% pure IT stuffs
5) Other ( you name it )
I'm in 1), 2), 4), and 5) (too complex to give details).

Yves.

It's advertising since he's linking to a site they most likely own and operate which appears to be a site you sign up for services. It doesn't matter if they are free or not, its a form of advertising if he creates a thread to point members to his site. He's taking advantage of the forums here in which we ask members to not do. That is why we have the www links in your profiles and signatures if you want to have a small link to your own site from this site.

But don't create threads that link members to your site, that is advertising and that is why it was closed.

And for this thread, it has been reported to be closed as well. Do not reopen closed threads without permission.

If you have a problem with these rules, contact the admin and owner of this site who placed these rules upon this site.
