Problem of root path while booting RH9 Linux

Dear All,

When I am trying to boot the RH9, it shows me error as:

"VFS: cannot open root device "LABEL = /" OR 00:00"
"Please append a correct "root=" boot option"
"Kernel Panic: VFS unable to mount root fs on 00:00"

Please let me know, why these problems are coming and what to change in the boot line, so that i can change that way.

Thanks,
Nishant Desai

your partition label has been changed? Please using fdisk to make a label at your original '/' partition.
