It is not meant to be appalling but school spirited (my school colors are blue and gold).

But whats on your screen isn't exactly blue & gold, more like blue & puke-green which is appalling.
Second most appalling is of course Miley Cyrus.

I also find the eye-popping blue and puke green appalling.

Looks gold on my screen, but that doesn't make it any more attractive to me. On the other hand, I'm not the one who has to look at it whenever I'm sitting at my computer, so I won't be too critical.

How about QtCurve?
You can customize it to look like just about anything, and it's native to both Qt and GTK+, making them look almost identical.

It's a program called wbar. I've added a few modifications to the source, but there really is no difference. The background for wbar is custom made as well. I like it because it only depends on imlib2.

How do make your image look sharp while keeping the maximum allow file size?
My image looks a bit fuzzy.
I've used this command to capture my desktop
import -display :0.0 -window root desktop0.jpg
The file size was 417k.
Then I used
convert desktop0.jpg -resize 640x480 deskktop.jpg
The file size is now 109k. But image is fuzzy.
I appreciate any tidbit info from anybody. Thanks in advance
