Ok...here's my latest...

XPlanet is used to render the background, and I have a Python script from http://xplanet.sourceforge.net//Extr...load_clouds.py (for updating the cloud overlay every few hours) that I've integrated into a Python script that I wrote (uses a free geoip service to plot machines I'm connected to in XPlanet).

http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=6270176

Edit - the cloud overlay makes it a bit "busy"...for a cleaner shot, click on the above link, then click on "Next" above the screenshot to see one without clouds...

I agree...I would've written the geoip script a long time ago had I have known that XPlanet and XEarth existed...better late than never, I suppose...

heres my vista screen ::

http://web.singnet.com.sg/~alred/vista-screen.jpg

heres my current freebsd screen when i'm in gnome ::

http://web.singnet.com.sg/~alred/freebsd_screen.jpg

its on my to-do list that vista will very soon be hidden for reason that i managed to think of ... i wont delete it as sometime people may need it for some odd and urgent cases but when that happened , vista will still be very very short lived just to get things done within minutes as i have to "return it"(another good reason) ... i believe it wont be too frequent ...
