ok ... my freebsd xfce4.4 desktop source reconfigure without "support" for file-icons and desktops-icons which probably means the underlying gnome/kde things and now i can get back my bloddy xfce-menu-plugin ...

just set up another partition on your gentoo machine and install freebsd ... bsd can access your linux partition(probably only ext2/3 , i'm not sure) with ease ... it will be small enough and doesnt take up lots of space if you just trying out freebsd(dont go for live cd) and have a look at what bsd guys are doing ...
Have to set terain detail to low to see where I'm going, and seems a little slow considering my graphics card (GeForce 7600GS), but price was right (free.)
hmm ... now i know why people are so fond of flashies things ... infact not until now that i am enjoying it ... although i donno how to plug "everything" into it yet but guess that its a good start for me right now ... have to look into and study these flashies things slightly more ...
//btw , probably i will as a default enable everything in my opera from now on ... until then , i cant say that i have seen the whole wide world ... my first note , i have just found out that this world is actually rather vibrant and colorfull ... ^_^
