Aren't Chrome apps just fancy bookmarks that someone has to write for you?
Some are ... and some are fully functional client-side apps that install as Chrome extensions. Like the Ubuntu One, Fiabee, SourceKit, Calculatoure, 5calc, and WriteSpace apps. Notice, for example, how there's no URL in the Ubuntu One and Fiabee screenshots? That's because the URL to the app is internal -- that is, inside Chrome.

Not the background, the theme. Chrome themes automatically change the background for you.
KDE4 and KWin on Slackware 13.1. Recently gave my desktop a makeover, and this was the outcome: http://barrelsbottom.deviantart.com/#/d39eoaj
There's also a screenshot of the same theme with some programs opened on that account, as well as my previous theme.
