Port of DARK ENGINE for Linux?

I was today working on graphics, and came across that the
dark engine might or not be opened for sources.

Here some more reading, but it is likely that it will take some years,

Dark Engine source
reported issues:

I like very much this engine since it can run on limited hardware.

A port for Linux would be really really great.

Even, imagine, running Dark Thief 1 or 2 NATIVE??

Would be great, isnt it?

Yes, it would be great. (I'm a fan of the Thief series myself). BTW, I've played Thief III: Deadly Shadows on Wine fine, but for some reason now it won't run (maybe due to the fact that I switched to 64 bit some time ago)... Anyway, can't wait for Thief 4 to be released.
