Here's an interesting read:

How come the cop gets off for shooting an unarmed man, but the minor drug offender gets the death penalty for shooting a heavily armed cop that burst into his home ?

I guess one must plan ahead when living in a police state. I'm at least gonna put motion sensitive cameras all around my home that will instantly inform me of suspicious activity. I'll probably lock myself inside a safe to make sure they finger doesn't slip, accidentally of course.

keep your hard drives in the safe also
and use 4096 bit full drive encryption
Quote:

Last year, after a Utah man's home was raided for having 16 small marijuana plants, nearly 300 bullets in total were fired (most of them by the police) in the ensuing gunfight, the homeowner believing he was a victim of a home invasion by criminals. The U.S. military veteran later hanged himself in his jail cell while the prosecution sought the death sentence for the murder of one officer he believed to be an criminal assailant.
If you are a vet , and one that is armed . Then "unknown" intruders ( at that split moment ) use EXCESSIVE force entering . I would expect those entering to be shot .
the home owner HAS the right to defend him self

and for a Vet , the training takes over for that split sec. -- shoot FIRST !

For encryption, I have good methods, so good there is no need to keep them in a safe or treat them in any special way. The best way to treat them is just like any other HDD for plausible deniability reasons.

What gets me is when they shoot to death unarmed suspects while carrying pepper spray, tasers and apparently are unable to aim for non-kills then get off scot-free or just lose their job?

The homeowner opened fire "believing he was the victim of a home invasion by criminals". Where I come from, that's not an excuse for opening fire. But then we don't have vigilantes running round shooting teenagers either...
