Poachers kill rhino for his horn at French zoo

A rhino has been shot dead by poachers at a zoo in France in what is believed to be the first such incident in Europe.
Seriously? Have people just become so brazen at this point that even a zoo is not safe anymore for endangered species?

What they should do is have a huge public campaign for people to donate fingernail and toenail clippings to save the rhino. They should grind them up, bottle them, and sell them as rhino horn. It wouldn't be possible for anyone to distinguish this from the genuine article because rhino horn and fingernails are chemically identical. They should flood the market with this stuff so that the price crashes and no one can make money any more by killing rhinos.
