pastebin.com: anyone knows how to use it?

Hi:

What's said. What I've done is this. I opened a terminal (GUI), issued the command, and copied the command line and it's response with Edit>Copy. Then went to http://pastebin.com and pasted the buffer. Finally I clicked the SUBMIT button.

I was asked to use pastebin.com by the mplayer official site. I hope I did things right. Thanks.

Hi stf92, That's how it works. Once you click the submit button, it reloads the page with your "paste" and a link. The link in the url bar is what you share.

Good luck. ;-)

Thanks for your kindness. Yes; I was about to post again, when I realized I had the url in the Internet address box above in my web browser. Then I copied it and saved it. Now, I must learn how to use IRC, but I have a lot of tutorials.

The server for the mailing lists in MPlayer is down. And they recommend using IRC in the meantime. Using LQ is a lot easier.

Thanks, Peacedog. I'll give a try to this thing, IRC. Afterall, I remember playing chess and I had to look for oppenents by issuing commads, which included very extensive help. Regards.

Chat rooms aren't too bad. Just ask clear questions, read any links to information posted, and don't ask if you can ask, just ask.

Good luck. ;-)
