PageRank

Hi Folks,

This is not a query about what the equation is for google's pagerank
but more or less it's concerning how long it might take
until a pagerank is updated , and the amount of so called 'votes' is takes to do so.

as for what i've heard it takes about a 3 month until changes are reflected.

is that true ?

however ,
it's for me rather unclear how many links it takes for example for a site
of let's say rank 0 to get to rank 1 ...etc

btw , I do know that the rank is logarithmic in the meaning that it takes more "votes" for rank 2 than to would take for rank 1...etc

I would appreciate any insights regarding this matter

Cheers
