I am Benjamin Kerensa a member of 2600.ORG & San Francisco 2600. I am doing a article for 2600 and a report which will be shared with about 6 other organizations regarding the security of OracleWorld. I must say arriving today and even though its just badge pickup day with no exhibits till tommorow i can say OracleWorld is kicking LinuxWorld right in the arse. Oracle is providing free backpacks full of goodies and transportation to all OracleWorld attendees. They have huge city buss size oracle buses patrolling the city! On wednesday they are even having a "Train" concert and Linkin Park will be coming aswell. I intend on making some descreet flyers for LinuxQuestions.org =) like at LinuxWorld :P will gets some pics up soon
Umm yeah jeremy or tricky just wanted to let you know i got a contact at Oracle i just met he is the Linux/Mac guy at Oracle Corporation he said if you guys wanna get a oracle board up and have it endorsed he is the guy to talk to .. he gave me his e-mail address if interested you guys can e-mail me and ill send you his contact details ill also be e-mailing him after i showed him the site he said once he is done with OracleWorld and his work at Nasa/AMES he will check out the site and register.
Yeah, you might want to email jeremy with the details. Not sure myself if there is a demand for a dedicated Oracle board, but I'm sure there are many other things that can be worked or thought out with Oracle and LQ.org..
I think so too now that i got a insider e-mail after you guys conduct business i think ill jet my resume to him aswell and personally i would love to see oracle on LQ i mean you guys dont have a dedicated area for Databases/Programming etc. :P and being a php/mysql dev savvy it sucks for me
i stepped into Oracle University for 5 minutes for a cert but was like god this is lame :P teachers are lame
2600.org was one of the first hacking publications ever printed and is by far the largest hacker organization with no ranks or levels. Anyways i welcome everyone to read my article when its finished right now they got a Industry Analyst room open its better then the press room it has Cisco IP phones next to each workstation and a big screen tv im the only one here so far and im playing music loud via iTunes i hope nobody comes by ill just tell them it helps me work. :P
I'm making some snazzy fliers for LQ right now and will distribute them tommorow and also set LQ as the homepage to every workstation here possible.
Distribution: Mac OS 10.5.4 / CentOS 5.2 (servers)

I would love to see your site, but like I said the damned firewall blocks it out for some reason.. Maybe I will try again later, sometimes the sites are not bad and the firewall just gets confused.. The firewall as blocked out my page before, of course my Freaky Page as Questionable content on it..
Apparently if we also adopted a Oracle/Linux Support forum there would be nice funding for LQ because at the moment Oracle is just marketing and has almost no support for their linux products
