Downloaded and installed it last night - it's very nice :D

yeah I enjoy it. I may pay for the upgrade when and if I need to. I liked it because I find it faster then FF.

I used Opera before. Not really impressed... but now without the ad bar, I would be interested in it, at least as a web developer to see how the same pages render in different browsers.

Been using Opera only for the past 3 days. I've hated it on the past and I was wondering why I hated it. Well, I found it actually to be pretty good today, very feature rich and it looks like Opera's pop-up blocker works better then FF (or so I believe). However, most of the pages I use frequently won't render as it should. As an example, www.gamefaqs.com. It's a pretty simple, mostly text page, but it simply won't render as it should... not as well as FF or IE.

I'm sticking to FF for the moment, maybe I will give it a look again in a few months :)

I was expecting a reply like that ^_^. Anyway, I went to www.gamefaqs.com and did a quick search for Doom 3. This is how Opera Rendered the page:

As you can see, a huge piece of the page is missing. It should stand "best matches" on top right after "Sponsor Matches" and a lot more games. Here is how firefox (correctly) renders the page:

I'm just making a little image of the page from the relevant missing parts. I have the same problems with Opera on both Linux and Windows and with different sites.

Another big annoyance is that I can't get into my router settings with Opera. It will simply not work. To begin with, the login screen is all wrong. Looks like Opera ignores the tables on that page and places the components, well, randomly:

It's not only the login screen that is screwed. It simply won't work with Opera after I login: The page keeps loading, but I can't get into my settings.

Either it's my setup or not, FF renders all pages I need as it should, so I'm sticking with it for now. I have already too much things to tweak elsewhere and the least I need is to also tweak browsers :D. I'm not saying that Opera sucks, it's actually pretty good, but for _me_, in terms of usability (again, for _me_), it's behind both IE and FF... IMHO.

In a way it's a shame Opera identifies itself as IE by default. I'm sure it has a bigger market share that most people give them credit for.

I've used it for years, and it's now in all my PCs at work, at home, and in all PCs in the family. We love it.

Mouse gestures alone make me at least twice as efficient as the next analyst at work. The Wand is a time saver as well.
